Unsure about your choices after graduation? Have questions about how to plan for your future career in academia or industry? Then come to the ISBI 2020 Lunch with Leaders Career Development Panel, on Sunday, April 5, where you will have the chance to put these questions to leaders in the field in an intimate setting. 

This 90-minute event will feature 6 panelists from academia and industry. Each panelist will give a short introductory talk about their own career paths, lessons and suggestions, followed up with a Q&A session. During the rest of the session, panelists will join lunch tables and the student attendees will have the opportunity for more in-person interaction until the beginning of the afternoon sessions. 

The event is free to students. Lunch is provided to those who register in advance.

Writer's Workshop

Would you like to learn how to write better scholarly articles aimed at top-tier medical imaging journals? Would you also like to learn how to write successful grants, and learn more about grant opportunities available to you as a graduate student or postdoc? Then come to the ISBI 2020 Lunch with Leaders Writer’s Workshop, on Monday, April 6, where you can learn how to best present your work with expert advice from leaders in the field.

This 90-minute event will feature 3 speakers giving brief 10-15 minute presentations with 5-10 minute Q&A each. Following the presentations, the speakers and other leaders will join lunch tables and the student attendees will have the opportunity for more in-person interaction until the beginning of the afternoon sessions. 

The event is free to students. Lunch is provided to those who register in advance.
